EDUCATOR.
Over the past ten years at Columbia Elementary in Fairfax County Public Schools, Evie has built over three choirs, a theatre program that has reached over 260 students, conducted multiple school-wide music-themed assemblies, enabled enrichment opportunities for kids outside of school and is a part of the leadership team. Throughout her time in the general music classroom, she has grown in her Responsive Classroom management, has discovered and created many new lessons and project based learning to reach every student's needs including students receiving SpEd and ESOL services, and has created a safe, culturally responsive environment for any and every student to feel loved and welcomed.

After many years of being on the stage, Evie finally ventured off to discover the roles behind the scenes. From the iconic dream teams of whom she's always seen and learned from throughout the years, she knew she wanted to bring that same passion to the table. As a proficient piano player she has music directed many shows, but she loves choreographing and directing. She fell in love with the creativity that goes into building a story for the audience and seeing it come to fruition before her eyes. "In these roles you can always find a teaching moment. When something doesn't work, you play with it and discover new possibilities together as an ensemble, until it's right."
PERFORMER
Evie has built her name in the Northern Virginia community since arriving in 2010. She has performed in many roles, including Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Kira in Xanadu and June in Gypsy. She has always cherished the rehearsal process and space more than the performances themselves. She finds that continuing to pursue her passion outside of the classroom, helps teach it to the younger generation. "It's the choices and the heart of the character you find during those moments. Those emotions are what you cherish and how you grow as a performer. Every day is a rehearsal; every day is an audition."
